In December of that same year, Roman and his mother conducted the charity’s first transport of 31 dogs (and a few cats) from Texas to Washington. In 2016, Roman founded the charity ‘Project Freedom Ride’ with his mother, which is dedicated to connecting unwanted dogs in shelters with loving forever homes. Since then, however, he has become the face of a large and still-growing dog rescue transport charity. For Roman, this first meant small appearances on his mother’s social media to promote dog adoption. She also encouraged him to rescue dogs in a larger capacity.
